Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure that uses concentrated light to target and damage hair follicles, preventing or delaying future hair growth. The laser's light is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair, converting the light energy into heat that destroys the hair follicle. This selective process damages the follicle without harming the surrounding skin, resulting in reduced and lighter hair over multiple sessions. Our diode technology is sure to give you lasting results.

Before Your Appointment

  • Do not wax, tweeze, or use hair removal creams in the treatment area. These methods remove the hair follicle, which the laser needs to target for the treatment to be effective.

  • Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds for at least two weeks before and after your appointment. Sun-tanned or sunburned skin increases the risk of burns and other side effects.

  • Stop using harsh skincare products, such as retinoids, two weeks before your appointment, as some ingredients can make your skin more photosensitive.

  • Avoid alcohol and smoking the night before and on the day of your treatment.

  • Do not exercise vigorously right before your appointment, as increased body temperature can affect the treatment.

  • Inform your provider about any new medications or changes in your medical history, especially those that increase sun sensitivity.

  • Avoid cosmetic treatments like chemical peels or other lasers in the weeks leading up to your appointment.
