Men's Waxing
Many of the most “manly” men you can think of get waxed! One of our clients teaches military recruits. Many of them are Harley motorcycle riders. Our "manly" local fire department, police department and tradesmen ALL get waxed. If you are into sports, this is a must, as it gets rid of all the hair that dirt and sweat get trapped in, which is great for overall cleanliness and if this still doesn’t convince you; waxing makes muscles not only look bigger but also more defined.

Before Your Appointment
1
No Shaving or Trimming
No shaving or trimming the hair in the treatment area for least three weeks before your appointment. Hair in the treatment area must be at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch long.
2
Exfoliate
Exfoliate the skin gently a day or two before your appointment. This helps remove dead skin cells and allows the wax to adhere better to the hair, reducing the risk of ingrown hairs.
3
Hygiene
Maintain good hygiene by showering before your appointment. Clean skin ensures better adherence of the wax and reduces the risk of irritation or infection. Do not moisturize the day of your appointment.
After Care
Thank you for choosing The Waxing Strip for your waxing service. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure your skin is cared for properly over the next few days. Some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours.
-
No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only).
-
No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.
-
No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans).
-
No sport, gym work or other exercise.
-
Avoid scratching or touching the treated area.
-
Wear clean, loose fitting clothes.
-
Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.
-
Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended by your Waxologist.
Ingrown hair prevention - a few days after your appointment, begin dry brushing. Scrub the skin with your dry brush 3-4 times a week prior to your shower. Moisturize the area every day, this will keep the skin hydrated and help new hairs to grow normally. Hair needs to be at least 1⁄2 cm long before it can removed by waxing. Do not shave between your appointments. We recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks to maintain results.
